Orange and Brown Butter Tart

FRIENDSHIP MARKS A LIFE EVEN MORE DEEPLY THAN LOVE.  LOVE RISKS DEGENERATING INTO OBSESSION, FRIENDSHIP IS NEVER ANYTHING BUT SHARING.”  Elie Wiesel.

Orange and Brown Butter Tart | From My Sweet Heart

Aside from the opportunity to bake my buns off, what I’ve enjoyed most about blogging are the many friendships I have made along the way.  Whether we are sharing information about food, computers, social media, or photography; food bloggers as a group are some of the most generous and giving people I have ever met.

MJ, of MJ’s Kitchen, is one of those people!  Visiting her site DOES feel like sitting with her in her kitchen; where she lovingly prepares her southern and southwestern inspired dishes.  My favorites are her Black Eyed Pea Chipotle Dip, Spicy Pumpkin and Red Chile Soup, and Caramel Apple Pie.  And you don’t want to miss her Kitchen Remodel! I was pretty envious of that!  MJ is warm and caring, and always has a kind, sincere and supportive comment that usually leaves me grinning big or laughing right out loud.

Today, I am sharing a recipe for an Orange and Brown Butter Tart with her.  A pistachio crust is filled with a sweet brown butter custard and dressed with Grand Marnier glazed oranges.  But this easy tart can be varied in so many ways.  (I’m thinking about spring and summer’s beautiful fruits and berries already!).  I chose to close out the month with a variety of oranges!
